Discover Our Story
The Beginnings
The business was founded by József Fórián Sr. in 1989. In the years around the regime change, it was common for professionals leaving the dissolving state sector to establish small or large companies.
Our story began with residential glazing: anyone who had a broken window or door glass, or perhaps wanted to frame a picture, came to us, and we did our best to solve their problem. There was also a smaller glass-cutting workshop where Mrs. József Fórián cut glasses, vases, and other lead crystal items, but this activity eventually had to be discontinued due to changing consumer habits.
Professional Progress
Glass-Bending Kilns
The first major professional advancement in the life of the business was the acquisition of glass-bending kilns. This made it possible to produce thermally bent glass for curved cabinet doors and entrance doors, which were highly fashionable at the time. This product was also popular in the hospitality industry, where counter glass for ice cream displays and other refrigerators was produced in large quantities.
Mechanized Production and Certification
The next milestone was the mechanization of insulating glass production. This accelerated the manufacturing of modern, gas-filled glass panes, enabling us to become a supplier to several locally and nationally recognized window and door manufacturers. Around the same time, our production was audited and certified by ÉMI
Our Competitive Advantage and Future Goals
Over the years, we have placed an increasing emphasis on fine art glazing: we trained ourselves and expanded our services in stained glass, glass painting, Tiffany glass creation, sandblasting, and traditional acid etching.
As the years went by, the broader use of glass as a building material gained traction among builders. From that point on, fabricating glass shower cabins, walkable glass surfaces, glass stairs, and glass railings became a part of our daily operations.
Thus, over the past nearly 40 years, we have gained experience and expertise in almost every field related to glass processing—and we hope this will continue in the future.
Adaptation and Quality
Over the past 37 years, our business has continuously strived to adapt to the changing economic environment, as well as professional and market expectations. Amidst regulatory changes, EU accession, and intensifying domestic and foreign competition, we could only survive by consistently pursuing professional development alongside our daily work.
„Technical developments, obtaining the ÉMI quality certification, launching fine art glazing, and opening the showroom all serve the goal of serving our Customers with the highest possible quality we can provide.”
Whether you ask us to glaze a single broken window or to install a glass railing system for an apartment building, we approach the task with the same level of dedication.
What Sets Us Apart?
